Spurred by player growth in the neighborhoods north of midtown Atlanta, Atlanta Youth Rugby formed a second club, AYR Buckhead, that began competitive play in the 2018-19 season. Sixty-five players participated in that initial season, forming 10U, 12U and 14U teams. The 12U team competed separately at the Carolina Ruggerfest in March 2019, and despite being mostly composed of players new to the sport, stayed competitive in all four matches that weekend, winning one and losing narrowly in the others. The 14U Buckhead ruggers mixed in with their Inman Park counterparts for the tournament, contributing to a division-winning 4-0 showing. As AYR continues its geographic expansion, the Buckhead club shows every sign of developing into a leading program.

Registration fees include a 16-week season with expert coaching, state and national dues (required for middle school and above), community t-shirt, referees, field rentals, equipment, trainers, and administrative costs.
